Infections

Filed under: — site admin @ 1:40 pm

Back from vacation. A great time was had by all…

Actually, although the weather was better than last year, it was the second worse trip I remember weather-wise. We still had a lot of fun, and rainy days at Sebago are better than rainy days at home. I ended up with an ear infection, though. I got one last summer too, so I think I’m going to have to try something to prevent them.

Until I got that infection, my blood sugar was fantastic. The infection drove it up 35 points or so, to around 130. I’d like to learn more about the mechanism by which infections raise the blood glucose. But I still haven’t done the research into body mass index, so I don’t know when I’ll find time for a new topic. I’ve been home from vacation three days, and I still haven’t even found time to get through all my e-mail or snail-mail. Uggh!

I’ve got to write a little application for posting my blood sugars on my website, with some analysis and graphing tools, and stop typing all those silly

Blood sugar: Some pm: ###, Next am: ###.

lines. Soon. Real soon…

Right! As though I don’t have enough to do…

:-(

    Welcome home!

Sorry to hear about the weather/infection stuff. But Glad y’all had a good time. Were any of the Trinity crew there this year?

  2. Scott Sauyet Says:

Kim O’Brien and her family; Suzanne Coleman, her significant other, and his family; Brian and Joy Coleman and their family. Suzanne tells me that if something hadn’t arisen at the last minute she would have had Mark and his kids up there too. I’m sorry that didn’t happen; Mark was the coolest of the crew. Jen and Bob didn’t make it up this year. I’ll start working on them for next year; although I don’t think Bob will ever come back, it’s fun to have Jen and the kids around. My folks, of course, were there. Michael and Jennifer made it up too with their one year-old son, Ayden.

    A blast as usual.

If I can get the extra vacation time next year, I may try to get Baird to come up with me. I’d love to just hang and play guitar with him for a bit.

But I have two weeks scheduled with Julie in New Zealand, and proabaly a week in St. Paul for the National Festival, so I’ll need to convince the crew here to let me buy a week.

  4. Scott Sauyet Says:

Yo, boss, me and Lefty can help you “convince” dem, if you want.

Muscles, I think it’s safe to say Lefty don’t work for me no more. But I’d be happy if you wanted to take that assignment on ;)
